ABOUT ME
I am not your regular Mathematics tutor you find in the local newspaper. Having completed Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from UTS, I do Mathematics Tutoring because I truly love it.

I gain a lot of satisfaction from seeing my students faces when they have their ‘aha!’ moments- when things suddenly makes sense for them. I feel proud and gain a sense of achievement as I watch them grow to reach his or her potential in Mathematics.

I am friendly, approachable and I have plenty of experience in understanding the learning technique of each student, what motivates them and what they usually get stuck on.

My students usually discover very quickly that it really is possible for them to improve at Mathematics and because they start to gain a better understanding, they become much more interested in learning further.

Their newly developed abilities instil a sense of confidence with Mathematics and this enables them to be much more productive in the classroom and at exam time.

MATHEMATICS
Strong Mathematics skills are important for career development after school. Many universities and employers pay more attention to Mathematics results than any other subjects.

It's true that some children struggle with Mathematics at some stage in their development, while others appear naturally gifted mathematicians. Usually if a student has missed out on understanding one or more important topics at school, much of what they do in later will not make sense to them.

With the help of Mathematics Tutoring, it's easy to discover exactly what areas the student is weak in, and then work on it to the level where they can understand and excel in class.

LESSONS
I strive to provide the best educational support in the form of 1-on-1 or group tuition (with only up to 5 students per lesson). That way I can give them the individual attention and support they need and most definitely deserve.

By operating with small groups, individual strengths and weaknesses can all be controlled, compared and constantly monitored. Students also benefit by studying comfortable in a relaxed learning environment, where they can more easily develop friendships and team work skills whilst learning with their peers.

HOMEWORK
Mathematics is like a language, the more you practise at it, the better you will become. This is the core reason is why homework is an absolutely essential part of the learning process. Homework will be assigned after each lesson.

CLASS TEST
There will be at least one exam within every term. Testing is used to monitor students’ progress, develop concentration skills and improve their examination techniques.

REGULAR FEEDBACK
I set individual goals and closely monitor each student’s progress, keeping you as a parent regularly informed along the way.

An assessment report on your child's progress can be emailed to you after each lesson, to provide regular and up to date feedback on what they have learnt and how they are performing.

HOW MUCH?
Your first lesson is free!

After that, the fee is:
$30 per hour for group lessons
$60 per hour for 1-on-1

The following methods of payments are accepted: cheques, bank transfers and cash.

There are no exchanges or refunds for any missed lessons.

Students are asked to bring:

- a pencil case,

- an empty exercise book,

- a calculator (for Years 7 to 12),

-their textbook from school, and any other worksheets, past exam papers or homework problems that they would like to go through

If you have any further questions, please feel free to give me a call on 0423 215 607.
