Design to me is not just about conveying a message, it is a piece of one’s passion to make others realize that freedom can be found in their own imagination. I remember when I was five years old, how I would draw on scraps of paper, bank statements and sheets of paper my dad would bring from work. My drawings would be that of what I soaked in from watching TV. from the powerful characters of X-Men to the innocent creatures on care bears. As I grew older I was fascinated by the magic I’d see in graphic designs, and wonder how such amazing designs were created. One day a friend of mine in school introduced me to Photoshop, and from that moment on I got hooked. I would go home every day after school and experiment with the tools, going crazy with excitement. Over the years I found that practice does make perfection, my skills improved immensely with sleepless nights on Photoshop and Illustrator.I worked at Rays & Rods Advertising (a Sri Lankan Advertising Agency) in Colombo, doing graphic design, production and illustration. After 2 years, I left the full-time position and pursued my studies in Australia, at RMIT University, I am enrolled in The Diploma for Graphic Arts and Printing. I also liked the freelance idea because I could work on a lot of different projects and have exposure with different people.
My passion for design is stronger than ever and I see no line on the horizon.

I am following a Diploma in Graphic Arts and Printing at RMIT University, Brunswick, Melbourne, Australia. Although I am just 22 years of age, I’ve have had experience in field of advertising, gaining my first graphic design job at the age of 19 – since then I have never turned back…
My life is design, I love it and I surround myself in it every day.
