An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planning Accountant; this role will provide you with significant career progression and stability.

The Senior Planning Accountant is primarily responsible for accurately analysing and understanding financial plans for the division . You will be responsible for preparing reports in order to communicate these plans to the Board of Directors.

Role: Senior Planning Accountant – Big 4, CA qualified
Location: Melbourne - Inner
Reporting into: Planning Manager

Tasks and Responsibilities

* Perform detailed analysis (versus prior year) and understand expenditure, volume, sales and gross profit for annual budget
* Develop reports detailing outcomes of budget
* Co-ordinate the manufacturing submissions and develop a deep understanding of these submissions
* Work closely with other departments in order to understand expenses for the budget
* Undertake ad-hoc planning requests where applicable
* Identify opportunities for profit improvement to ensure the continued growth and profitability of the Company

Candidate Profile

* Tertiary degree in either Accounting or Finance is preferred
* CA newly qualified candidate from ‘Big 4’
* Strong working knowledge of Management Accounting, Project Management and Analysis
* Ability to provide accurate information and reporting is vital
* Systems exposure to SAP and MS Excel (v-look up and pivot tables) is an advantage
